Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

KAP combines the medicine ketamine with personalized psychotherapy. Distressing symptoms common in clients with trauma, amongst other mental health issues, potentially subside as the medicinal psychedelic effects provide relief from fear and pain, and surface a sense of openness and connection. The nervous system protections that typically activate when approaching painful memories are thought to soften during the KAP session. A client heals while in the medicine through meaningful engagement with their trauma-focused psychotherapist.

Treatment is a combination of non-ketamine sessions and ketamine sessions. Typically expect to engage in a combination of appointments that include assessment, planning, psychotherapy, and integrative techniques which last 20-30 sessions in a 5-6 month timeframe. Reach out to determine if KAP treatment is right for you.
